Meet Mitch
Mitch Skyer, a Certified Exit Planning Analyst (CEPA®), is also a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with over three decades of leadership in the transit, fleet management, software, and telecommunications sectors. With a BA from Binghamton University and an MBA from the University at Buffalo, Mitch launched his career at MCI, where he rose from entry-level sales to senior management in only seven years. He then led national sales teams at Cognisa Transportation and helped drive the company’s growth and eventual sale in 2006.
In 2007, Mitch founded Solstice Transportation Group to provide operational consulting for public and university transit systems. In 2010, he co-founded Passio Technologies to deliver innovative software and hardware solutions for fixed-route transit. After Passio’s acquisition by Transit Technologies LLC in 2020, Mitch stepped into executive leadership roles across the organization and ultimately served as President and Managing Director of Faster Asset Solutions. In 2025, he launched AFI Strategic Partners, committed to accelerating revenue growth strategies for organizations up to $80M in transit, fleet and logistics technology.
Mitch and his wife Lisa share their Atlanta home of over 30 years with two dogs now that their three children are officially “launched”. He has served on multiple non-profit boards, modeling clarity, accountability, and a commitment to lasting impact.
